We have joined the CarbonFree™ program by Carbonfund.org in order to help offset carbon emissions. SK-Jets has committed to support carbon offset projects, such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, and reforestation by aiding companies to reduce their carbon footprint when using private jet travel. Each project plays an important role in the fight against global warming.

SK Jets is offering to plant a tree or donate to any of Carbonfund’s numerous carbon offset projects in your name. All you have to do is request your flight with SK Jets to be carbon neutral and we will donate the offset amount for you.

Carbon offsets enable anyone to reduce their climate footprint by supporting projects that reduce carbon dioxide emissions to balance out one's own carbon footprint. We all are responsible for carbon dioxide emissions through the use of energy such as; driving, heating and cooling our homes, or watching TV. Carbon offsetting is the act of reducing an equal amount of carbon somewhere else to counterbalance the carbon emissions from your energy-using activities.

Renewable energy refers to wind energy, methane capture, solar, geothermal and other clean energy sources. Energy generated from clean sources like these reduce the need to generate that same energy from dirty sources like coal or gas.

Developing clean energy projects isn’t as cheap as building new coal power plants, at least not yet. That’s why it’s important for project developers to have access to additional streams of revenue other than the electricity they get to sell. That’s where Carbonfund.org donors come in. In some cases, renewable energy developers sell the environmental benefit of their projects not as tons of CO2, but as Renewable Energy Certificates. When Carbonfund.org supports these projects, we examine the local energy grid’s carbon profile to determine how much electricity from dirty sources the project is displacing. Carbon profiles for the entire country are updated each year by the Environmental Protection Agency to ensure accuracy.

Carbonfund.org supports reforestation projects around the world that reduce CO2 emissions in the atmosphere. Reforestation is a form of carbon sequestration (sequestration is the capture and removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere). Forests capture CO2 and store it in the trees' mass and in the soil. Reforestation projects play a vital role in absorbing emissions and providing time to transition to a new energy future.
